Important Disclosure — Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA)

ScoreWipe is a document generation and credit report management tool. ScoreWipe is NOT a credit repair organization as defined under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), 15 U.S.C. § 1679. We do not guarantee the removal of any items from your credit report. We do not provide legal advice. The dispute letters generated by ScoreWipe are based on your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and are provided as a self-help tool. For legal advice, consult a licensed attorney. Results may vary.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScoreWipe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

ScoreWipe is a document generation and credit report management platform. The Service allows you to:

  • Enter and manage credit report account information
  • Generate dispute letters based on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • Track dispute statuses and deadlines
  • Export dispute letters in PDF format

3. Not a Credit Repair Organization

ScoreWipe is NOT a credit repair organization as defined under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), 15 U.S.C. § 1679. Specifically:

  • We do not guarantee the removal, modification, or improvement of any items on your credit report.
  • We do not represent, advise, or act on your behalf in communications with credit bureaus or data furnishers.
  • We do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
  • All dispute letters are generated as self-help tools for you to review, modify, and send at your own discretion.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for any dispute letters you send.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Subscriptions and Payments

ScoreWipe offers free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans:

  • Billing is processed monthly through Square.
  • Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice.
  • Refunds are available within the first 30 days of a new paid subscription.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to dispute information you know to be accurate
  • Provide false or misleading information in dispute letters
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or generated content without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The ScoreWipe platform, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by ScoreWipe and protected by intellectual property laws. Dispute letters generated by the Service are provided for your personal use in exercising your FCRA rights.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that dispute letters generated by the Service will result in any specific outcome.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCOREWIPE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to ScoreWipe in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScoreWipe and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, upon notice to you. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 3, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
